Instruction is the core of what we do at Louisa County Public Schools. The curriculum and plan for every class is carefully considered and adjusted each year to maximize student achievement. Our centralized instructional team directs, guides, and supports the learning that occurs in every classroom every day.
Dr. Justin Grigg serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, overseeing all division instructional activities and initiatives related to every aspect of student learning.
Lee Downey oversees instruction at Louisa County Middle School and Louisa County High School as Director of Secondary Instruction.
Tom Smith oversees testing and serves as the Director of Assessment & Accountability.
Heather Spaid is the Director of Elementary Education and federally-based instructional efforts, including Title 1. She also directs our Talented and Gifted program.
