Instruction

Instruction is the core of what we do at Louisa County Public Schools. The curriculum and plan for every class is carefully considered and adjusted each year to maximize student achievement. Our centralized instructional team directs, guides, and supports the learning that occurs in every classroom every day.

Role of Reading Specialists

Our Literacy Specialists are dedicated to enhancing literacy education across our school division. They facilitate collaborative planning meetings, manage and analyze literacy data to inform instructional decisions, and provide coaching for teachers.

Additionally, they construct and oversee the building's intervention program, plan for the effective use of instructional assistants, and offer guidance on all literacy initiatives. Through these efforts, they ensure our students receive the highest quality literacy education, tailored to their needs and goals.
