Instruction is the core of what we do at Louisa County Public Schools. The curriculum and plan for every class is carefully considered and adjusted each year to maximize student achievement. Our centralized instructional team directs, guides, and supports the learning that occurs in every classroom every day.

Dr. Amanda Hester serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, overseeing all division instructional activities and initiatives related to every aspect of student learning.

Tom Smith oversees instruction at Louisa County Middle School and Louisa County High School as Director of Secondary Instruction and heads Assessment and Accountability.

Dr. Justin Grigg is the Director of Elementary Education and federally-based instructional efforts, including Title 1. He also directs our Talented and Gifted program.
