Student iPad Repairs at LCHS

Student iPad Repairs at LCHS

Hands-on learning is a point of emphasis at Louisa County High School, and that’s exactly what is happening in the school’s Computer Networking Software Operations class!

As part of the class, LCHS students are repairing screens on iPads throughout the school division that have any sort of damage.

The students have become experts at removing the old screens, making any necessary repairs, and installing brand new screens.

The students clean the entire device and use heat to fuse the device back together with glue and tape.

Currently, 22 students are in the class, and a group of three or four students are usually able to completely repair an iPad during a class session.

Making repairs in-house greatly reduces repair costs and provides students with a valuable skill that can last them a lifetime!

It’s yet another way that LCHS is leading the way in hands-on education!
