Good evening #TeamLCPS Families!
First and foremost, we want to thank this entire community for two great days of school to start the week! It has been great having our students and staff back in our buildings working hard and having fun. We have appreciated your continued support and cooperation through the winter weather obstacles, and we’re now looking forward to finishing the semester strong!
We also want to provide you with two quick updates to our academic calendar. These revisions are being made to best support our students and staff as we adjust to the impact of our recent closures due to winter weather.
- The end of the third grading period will now take place on Friday, March 21st. This was originally scheduled for Friday, March 14th.
- Report Cards will now be sent home on Friday, March 28th. This was originally scheduled for Friday, March 21st.
These revisions do not require any action on your part, but we did want to make you aware of them. Please also note a calendar revision that we originally announced on February 20th, which is that Monday, March 17th will now serve as a regular school day for students and staff.

And while we do hope that winter weather is now behind us, we do not know what the future holds. As noted on our Make-Up Day schedule, please be aware that future closings would require us to utilize Remote Learning Days for students. The content that students would complete on these days has already been provided to students, and we will communicate with you directly if the need to complete them takes place.
Once again, thank you so much for your continued support! Please know that we are here to support you, and our focus is on ensuring we have a fantastic semester and finish this school year strong!
Together, we are #TeamLCPS!
