**This message was emailed to all LCPS families on October 3rd**

Greetings #TeamLCPS! We hope you’re having a fantastic weekend!

As you may know, October is known nationally as Anti-Bullying Month. Here at #TeamLCPS, we’ve taken it a step further in recent years by transforming October into #Kindness Month. Kindness is a major point of emphasis here at Louisa County Public Schools. We strongly believe that teaching students to be kind is as important a lesson as we can teach them. We believe in creating not just great students, but great people.

In the past few years, our #Kindness initiatives during the month of October have been so inspiring to see in action. We’ve honored first responders through the “Our Community Comes First” initiative, we’ve handed out coupons, helped folks load groceries into their car, mailed out thank you cards, and more.

Now, it’s October 2021 and we’re excited to share with you our plans for #Kindness Month 2021! Please take a moment to check out a video summary featuring Superintendent Straley as we unveil our upcoming initiatives!

As we move forward, more specific details will be released by your child’s school. Please take a moment today to check out today’s video!

Thanks so much #TeamLCPS and have a fantastic day! We’ll see you tomorrow for another GREAT day at Louisa County Public Schools!
