National School Lunch Week 2021
Posted on 10/12/2021

It’s time to get excited because October 11-15 is “National School Lunch Week,” a week where school divisions are encouraged to celebrate the hard work of their cafeteria staff!

At Louisa County Public Schools, we have amazing cafeteria team members who are committed to providing healthy meals and building positive relationships!

So far this school year, LCPS cafeteria teams have served 219,000 meals! In fact, they’ve also served more than 1.3 MILLION meals since the pandemic began in March 2020!

LCPS cafeteria teams provide an average of 2,800 breakfast orders and 3,200 lunch orders per day.

LCPS cafeteria team members also work with students as a part of our school division’s School Gardens program, where students help harvest healthy veggies like kale and potatoes!

The LCPS Nutrition program is led by Randy Herman, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our students fed!

Please take a moment to say THANK YOU to our awesome cafeteria teams for doing an incredible job!
