#TeamLCPS is well-represented around the WORLD this summer!

Moss-Nuckols Elementary School teacher Caryn Wagner is teaching abroad in Bali right now! She’s helping students there learn English!

My trip allows me to represent #TeamLCPS by using what I've learned as a teacher in the county to serve other students around the world,” Wagner said. “My trip is helping me become a better teacher by putting myself in new and difficult learning situations in which I have to be flexible and able to adapt to be successful.”

Bali is an Indonesia island north of Australia. Wagner will be there for three weeks, volunteering with a group called “Green Lion Bali.”

Bali is just the latest in a series of educational adventures for Wagner. She has also worked with children in Costa Rica and Guatemala. During each of these trips, Wagner said she built a greater appreciation for her job and students back home.

“Teaching abroad in impoverished areas that have little more than desks and a whiteboard compared to what we have helps to ground me,” Wagner said. “It reminds me how lucky I am to have what I have to teach my children back in Louisa.”

This is what being a member of #TeamLCPS is all about! Great job, Caryn!
