LCPS CTE House Construction Project

LCPS CTE House Construction Project

Did you know that Louisa County High School students are assisting with a project to build a house?!

The construction process is part of the school’s world-class Career and Technical Education program. LCHS carpentry teacher Rodney Carter guides the group of students on the project. Students receive hands-on training and experience the type of education that translates directly to the workforce! The students have worked on the project for about three weeks, and have already laid foundation and raised several walls.

The project is a perfect example of how LCHS Career and Technical Education is transforming the way a 21st-century classroom looks, operates, and educates.

Weather permitting, the house should be finished by the springtime! Be on the lookout for photos of the finished product next semester!

Great job, LCHS CTE!
