LCHS Graduation

Parent(s), Guardian(s), Student(s), and Families –

As you all know, graduation is such an important milestone in our students’ lives. With that in mind, and due to the forecast for rain and thunderstorms over the next few days, LCHS Administrators have decided that our 2018 Graduation ceremony will be held indoors in the LCHS main gym. Hosting the ceremony indoors will provide the best atmosphere for a safe, exciting, and memorable experience.

With our 2018 Graduation ceremony being moved inside, please be aware of the following:

  1. Gold seal ticket will grant seating in the main gym and all gold seal ticket holders will need to enter LCHS using entrance #34. This entrance is located on the far-right side of the building near the main gym.
  2. Green seal tickets will grant seating in the Alan Jackson Theatre with the cafeteria serving as an overflow seating area on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once room capacity is reached, no further admittance will be granted. Both the Alan Jackson Theatre and the cafeteria will have a live video feed of the graduation ceremony playing on the projector screen. All green seal ticket holders will need to enter LCHS using entrance #35. This entrance is located on the far-right side of the building on the main floor by the Alan Jackson Theatre.
  3. All tickets will be distributed to Seniors at the conclusion of graduation practice on Friday morning.
  4. ONLY ticket holders will be granted admission to the building (employee badges will NOT be honored for entry into the ceremony).
  5. Doors open at 5 p.m. All seating closes at 6:15 p.m. The ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m.

For those unable to attend the ceremony, we are also planning to stream the entire ceremony via YouTube. On Friday, we will provide links to the live stream on our LCHS website, our LCPS website, and our LCPS Facebook page. This is a tremendous technological challenge, and we ask for your patience throughout the process!

We know Friday’s ceremony will be an exciting and memorable experience! We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we work together in making the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2018 the best it can possibly be.

Sincerely,

Lee Downey
